Product description

The GoodWe ESA Series (GW5K to GW29.999K ETA-G20) is a three-phase all-in-one high-voltage ESS that integrates a hybrid inverter, HV battery stack and energy management into a single pre-wired, stackable unit for residential and small commercial installations. Nine power classes deliver 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25 and 29.999 kW rated AC output at 220/380 or 230/400 V, 3L/N/PE, 50/60 Hz. The PV side accepts up to 200% DC oversizing10 to 60 kW of array per unit — across 3 or 4 MPPTs with a wide 120–950 V MPPT operating range, 1000 V maximum input, 150 V start-up and up to 42 A per MPPT on the higher power classes. A single battery input operates at 750 V nominal (700–950 V), charging at up to 5–30 kW and discharging at up to 5.5–33 kW for up to 1C cycling; up to 12 LFP battery modules stack for a total of up to 108 kWh, and modules of different capacity — or new alongside existing ones — can be mixed. Maximum efficiency is 98.0–98.2%, European efficiency 96.4–97.4%, and battery-to-AC efficiency reaches 98.0%. A dual-port design with a dedicated back-up port supports whole-home backup: transfer is under 4 ms, off-grid output matches rated power with a 10-second overload (10 kVA on the 5 kW model up to 45 kVA on the 30 kW), and an internal bypass passthrough of 63 A80 A on the 25 and 30 kW models — usually removes the need to upgrade the main breaker; on- and off-grid parallel operation is supported. Protection is integrated throughout: AFCI, PV string current monitoring, PV insulation resistance detection, residual current monitoring, PV and battery reverse polarity protection, anti-islanding, AC overcurrent, short-circuit and overvoltage protection, an integrated DC switch, remote shutdown, and Type II DC and AC surge protection (Type I + II DC on the 25 and 30 kW models). The unit is rated IP66, operates from −35 °C to +60 °C at 0–100% RH and altitudes to 4000 m (derating above 2000 m), and uses smart fan cooling with noise from 30 dB on the 5–8 kW models at 25 °C ambient. Interfacing is via LED, WLAN and app, CAN to the battery BMS, and RS485, WiFi + LAN + Bluetooth as standard with 4G optional, over Modbus-RTU/TCP. Dimensions are 800 × 340 × 270 mm at 34 kg (38 kg on the 25 and 30 kW models), wall or floor mounted.
