The Huawei LUNA2000-5/10/15-S0 is a smart string LFP (LiFePO4) energy storage system for residential PV, built from one LUNA2000-5KW-C0 power module and one to three 5 kWh battery modules to give 5, 10 or 15 kWh usable capacity — a modular design scalable from 5 to 30 kWh in 5 kWh steps. Its defining feature is pack-level energy optimisation with 100% depth of discharge, so every battery module runs independently and the full rated capacity stays usable over the system's life. Output is 2.5 kW at 5 kWh and 5 kW at 10 and 15 kWh, with a 3.5–7 kW peak for 10 s. The system pairs with single- and three-phase Huawei SUN2000 inverters (350–560 V single-phase, 600–980 V three-phase) and is discovered automatically at commissioning through the app. Five-layer safety protection and an IP66 rating suit both indoor and outdoor installation; cooling is by natural convection at <29 dB, across an operating range of −20 °C to +55 °C and altitudes up to 4000 m. The lightweight modules (12 kg power module, 50 kg battery module) install on a standard floor stand or optional wall mount. Communication is over RS485/CAN (parallel operation), with SOC and LED status indication. Certified to CE, RCM, CEC, VDE-AR-E 2510-50, IEC62619, IEC60730 and UN38.3.
